Ki O rahi is a Maori game that is really popular in our amazing Gilberthorpe School. Today some people from senior hub is going to Yaldhurst School to Play Ki O rahi and I think everyone is nervous, especially me!!

ReplyDeleteHow did you go at Ki O Rahi? I saw an article online about Ki O Rahi at Yaldhurst School with some photos. It was very interesting to read about it and the story behind the game. Have you learnt about the story? - In the stuff article it said 'the game is based on a colourful pūrākau (legend) of a man called Rahitutakahina rescuing his wife, Tiarakurapakewai, after overcoming several obstacles involving a taniwha, a lake and an ice bridge.'
